Common Questions About Pediatric Chiropractic Care

Is chiropractic care safe for children?

Pediatric chiropractic care uses very light techniques tailored to a child’s age, size, and developmental stage. Care begins with a thorough evaluation, and recommendations are based on the child’s specific needs and parental input.

Children of many ages, from infants to teenagers, may receive chiropractic care when appropriate. Techniques are always adapted to the child’s age, size, and stage of development.

A visit typically begins with a conversation about your child’s health history, growth, and any concerns you may have. The chiropractor will perform a gentle evaluation and recommend care options based on your child’s needs.

A referral is not required. Many parents choose chiropractic care on their own, and we are always happy to coordinate with your child’s pediatrician if needed.

Dr. Mason sees infants, toddlers, children, and teens. Care is always adapted to the child’s age, size, and developmental stage.

Extremely gentle. Techniques use light pressure appropriate for a developing spine, often compared to the pressure you’d use to check the ripeness of a peach.

If Dr. Mason feels chiropractic care is not appropriate, he will tell you honestly and guide you toward the right next step.
