Seeing a chiropractor can be helpful for some types of back pain, but timing and symptoms matter.
👍 It may be reasonable to see a chiropractor if:
-Your back pain has lasted more than a few days to 2 weeks.
-The pain is mild to moderate and feels muscular or joint-related.
-Pain started after poor posture, carrying a heavy backpack, sports, or a minor strain.
-Pain improves with rest but keeps coming back.
-You have stiffness or limited movement without other symptoms.
⚠️ You should see a primary care doctor first (not a chiropractor) if:
-Pain is severe, getting worse, or started after a fall or accident.
-Pain wakes you up at night and you have fever, unexplained weight loss, or feel unwell.
-There are bowel or bladder changes.
🚫 Chiropractors are not recommended if: There’s a suspected fracture, infection, tumor, or inflammatory condition.
Call us if you are unsure if chiropractic is a viable option for you.
